Jans Aasman - Lisp and the Semantic Web
Jans gave a very interesting talk recently at the justin.tv office, as part of our hackertv series of live tech talks.

For anyone who missed it, here's the archive.

Hi Bill, thanks about the fix.

Is there a way to download the video from hackertv?

Thanks!

Right now we don't support this very well. The closest you can get is to go to the archives page (http://www.justin.tv/hackertv/archive), then find the clip you want, and click the "download clip" button at the bottom-right of the player. You'll get an flv file, which is playable in at least mplayer, but we need to make this much easier... hopefully soon!

I really enjoy the fact that I can watch presentations on hackertv, but the production values have got to be increased before I would consider watching more. The fact that the camera operator (be it a person or a computer) is constantly adjusting the focus is nothing short of infuriating. Just listening to the audio is considerable less irritating, which is what I did.

Aside from the production quality, I agree that the content of the talk is interesting.

Thanks Geoff, that's a fair point. I'll see what we can do to improve the production of future talks.

Cheers,
Bill.
